Nouran is an old friend of mine who  came for a visit to cheer me up. so I had a cup of tea with her  whilst remembering all my childhood memories, she kept reminding me how much of a strong Palestinian woman I am which I found very kind of her to do so.

 when I was about a nine year old kid I have witnessed Nouran’s house being bombed by the IDF so she had to move to Cairo.  

It was so sad to remember that because we used to play a lot together as children and we had fond memories. 

Mama and I  booked our flight tickets back to Manchester.

 I kept reporting to the FCDO about my father and Mohammed who needed to flee the ongoing oppression. My uncle Mushier and my cousin Qasem have managed to flee the Israeli Genocide.

The bombing continues to hit innocent civilians whilst in their sleep. It is really disturbing to have to think that a whole population has to be ethnically cleansed like that.

Im so worried sick for my father and my brother who are still there trying to survive this nightmare.

As my mum says “ No where is safe in Gaza”

My father has managed to flee with my two traumatised half siblings , he lost his job as he was working as an IVF doctor he had to make some difficult decisions too leaving his wife behind as she was waiting for the FCDO to decide whether she’s allowed to leave or not. My brother decided to stay which made me really anxious.

I said goodbye to my father because me and my mum were going to catch tomorrow’s flight to Manchester and not knowing what the next chapter will bring and that all I know is that I love my family so much.

I landed in Manchester , my sister Basma and nephew  cyrus were waiting for us. we drove to basma’s house and saw my partner Anthony then we had dinner at basma’s house.
