We reached Cairo physically safe however both my mum and I were thinking about Gaza all the time. I was mainly thinking about my brother mohammed who was sheltering with my father and two half siblings in al-Mashtal hotel. My brother and my father had to flee from the north of Gaza to the south, along with thousands of people who got displaced including children and women. Mohammed got a warning from the idf that internet, food and water and electricity will be obliterated from the people of Gaza and a total complete blockade will be imposed on civilians of the gaza strip, it was really shocking as it meant that we could not contact our loved ones and there was hidden agenda for the Israelis was to kill Palestinians using the tool of imposing a famine on the gaza strip. The bombing in gaza  has got exponentially worse  white phosophorous is being used amongst 2.2 million of the population and half of this population re innocent children. I painted a lot of solidarity pictures in my book which has helped me relax from the situation. Israel has declared war against gaza which has already been under a brutal siege for the last 16 years. The Israeli army has vowed to start  a physical genocide and  a psychological war on all Palestinians who have relatives in Gaza.

We were watching the news obsessively I felt like im heart broken and my stress levels increased continuously, however I felt inside myself that I had to do something to help Gaza I just didn’t know what it was at the time. I started by writing and so my mum called a journalist that I have spoken to who was asking me about the current safety of my brother Who is currently stuck in Gaza.

We spent time with my aunt in Cairo. My aunt from my father’s side is really lovely but very eccentric. As the bombing has intensified and many neighbour hoods were obliterated in Gaza city. My mum and I started panicking even more about the safety of our immediate family in Gaza who were asked to flee from the north to the south. My auntie and my uncle on my mum’s side are elderly and I have so many cousins who are there trying to keep safe from danger.
